Our Mission
At JB Aboriginal Strategy & Consulting, our mission is simple, to build workplaces up across Australia where everyone feels confident, capable, and connected when it comes to Aboriginal culture, people, and Country.
Too often, I see uncertainty in workplaces - the nervousness, guilt or fear that can come with conversations about Aboriginal culture.
Many organisations want to take meaningful action but don’t know where to start:
Should we focus on cultural learning, community engagement, or employment first?
Do we develop a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP), or create our own Aboriginal strategy?
Who can provide us with trusted guidance that fits our unique organisation structure and purpose?
We partner with organisations ready to move beyond good intentions - to take confident, informed and culturally respectful action. Whether it’s through strategic planning, cultural learning, or creating spaces for connection, our goal is to make reconciliation practical, achievable and lasting.
By improving staff confidence, building strong connections to Country, and embedding Aboriginal perspectives across all levels of business, we help create workplaces that don’t just talk about reconciliation, they live it.
The time for long-term, meaningful action for Aboriginal people, culture and land is now.
It’s time to unlock the confidence to share, learn and act together.

Josh Brown
As a proud Worimi man from the Forster–Tuncurry region of NSW, I’m deeply committed to creating meaningful outcomes for Aboriginal people, culture, and Country.
My journey began in education, where I developed a strong foundation in communication, teaching and connecting with people from all walks of life. Over the years since leaving teaching, my experience has grown across roles with the Botanic Gardens of Sydney, NSW Department of Planning, Industry & Environment, Macquarie University, UNSW AGSM Business School & Deadly Ed - each shaping my approach to strategy, leadership, and cultural engagement.
I don’t speak for all Aboriginal people or cultures, and that’s important to acknowledge. My role is to guide, support and empower organisations to develop their own cultural capability and confidence, using my lived experience and professional insight to help achieve lasting, authentic results
